The most frequently asked questions regarding the conditions for obtaining a Thai visa:

1. Office Hours?
  • public: Wednesday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • travel agency: Wednesday 14:00 pm – 16:00 pm
  • 2. Is it possible to obtain a visa after arriving at the airport in Thailand?
  • From September 9, 2002 the possibility of obtaining a visa after arrival in the airport in Thailand was abolished (see annex – article Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
  • 3. Is it possible to obtain a visa on the same day?
  • Yes, for an additional fee of EUR 15
  • 4. Length of Validity of issued visa?
  • tourist visas are issued for a 3 month period – with validity for staying on the territory of Thailand for 60 days
  • business visas are issued for a 3 month period – with validity for staying on the territory of Thailand for 3 months
  • 5. Conditions for obtaining children’s visas?
  • - if the child had his/her own passport for a child – terms for issuing visa – see adult;
  • - if the child is registered in his/her parent’s passport – the visa is issued in the parent’s passport;
  • 1 photo of the child is required, children who are registered in a parent’s passport are added to that parent’s questionnaire, the fee for the child is also EUR 30
  • 6. Must all persons applying for visas be present?
  • - Everyone’s presence is required, exemption family members – one person can arrange for visas for all family members.
